Emir, PM send condolences to Moroccan King

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday sent a cable of condolences to His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco following the death of Princess Lalla Fatima Zohra. 
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable.

Emir holds talks with Kirchner and  Erdogan

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday held telephone talks with the President of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
They reviewed relations between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them and issues of common interest.
The Emir also hold telephone talks with the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and congratulated him on winning the presidential election, wishing him success.

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday sent a cable of congratulations to the President of Chad Idriss Déby on his country’s Independence Day.
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable.

RAF provides QR6m assistance 

Doha: Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has provided internal humanitarian aid worth over QR6m as part of its Tara Hum (Compassion) project during the past four months. 
RAF said in a statement yesterday the aid will help 1,123 families (citizens and residents) in repayment of debts, medical treatment expenses, marriage assistance, rental dues and other assistance. It said aid will be distributed to needy families and low-income people in Qatar after confirmation of their eligibility for such assistance. 

Embassy to mark Independence Day

Doha: The Indian embassy will celebrate the 68th Independence Day of India on Friday. Ambassador Sanjiv Arora will hoist the national flag and read out the President’s message at the premises of Indian Cultural Centre, Street No. 916, Wahb Bin Omair, Al Mamoura at 7am.
Students of Indian schools will sing the national anthem and patriotic songs. All Indians and their families are invited.
