Doha, Qatar: The National Digital Safety Initiative is advancing efforts to empower all segments of society to navigate technology safely while effectively confronting cyber risks.

In a series of posts on X, the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) stated that by deploying a diverse suite of interactive tools, educational programmes, and hands-on workshops, the campaign ensures that individuals, families, and organisations are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to protect their digital presence.

NCSA, through the National Cyber Security Academy, unveiled the National Digital Safety Initiative this year to fortify the country’s digital resilience.

Designed to engage all segments of society regardless of age, social background, or professional sector, the campaign promotes safe internet usage, clarifies potential cyber risks, and builds a technologically empowered community.

The Agency highlighted that the initiative has reached a total of 59,667 beneficiaries across 322 participating institutions. The report also mentions that high rates of satisfaction reflect the project’s practical clarity, with approximately 90.5 percent of participants surveyed reporting that the awareness content was clear and easy to understand, while 93.3 percent rated the overall initiative as distinguished.

The framework aligns directly with national efforts to enhance cybersecurity posture across families, senior citizens, financial sectors, and educational institutions.

Central to the programme is the ‘Cybersecurity Awareness Portal’, an online repository accessible in both Arabic and English through dedicated digital channels.

The portal delivers interactive awareness tools, including training presentation slides, printed guides, animated and live-action videos, cybersecurity games, VR headsets, and interactive touchscreens.

Engaging features like interactive robots and gamified simulations offer hands-on learning experiences to help users detect phishing attempts, manage personal data privacy, and navigate modern cyber threats effectively.

Dynamic outreach campaigns extend these digital tools directly into public venues, schools, and workplaces across the country.

Through interactive workshops, mobile stands, and community events, participants learn safe digital habits that directly protect personal and institutional infrastructure. By merging technology with practical education, the initiative transforms complex cybersecurity concepts into accessible skills for everyday users.

Officials remark that the National Digital Safety Initiative stands as a vital pillar in Qatar’s ongoing commitment to fostering a secure digital environment.

By integrating advanced educational resources, hands-on engagement, and accessible digital tools, the initiative not only addresses the diverse needs of Qatar’s population but also sets a benchmark for digital safety standards in the region. The impressive reach and high satisfaction rates among participants underscore the programme’s effectiveness in raising awareness and building cyber resilience.
