DOHA: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a new traffic signal near the Mesaimeer roundabout as part of the ongoing road works at Mesaimeer.

The new signal, 200m from the Mesaimeer roundabout towards Industrial Area will replace the alternative road from Mesaimeer roundabout to Al Wakrah, Mesamier compound facing the religious complex. The new traffic signal will be operational from tomorrow until December 2014.

The alternative roads will be available for road users from Mesaimeer roundabout heading to Al Wakrah as per the illustration.

The new signal has been introduced to ease traffic during the completion of the remaining work and the construction of the flyover bridge from F Ring road to Al Mamoura area.

Diverting traffic away from the main construction works will ensure safety and smooth traffic flow to Mesaimeer roundabout area.

The area will be covered by directional signs showing the closed roads and the new roads to assist commuters in the area.
