Doha: Under the generous patronage of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the tenth batch of candidate students at Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Air Academy, were graduated last week, and that was at the colleges headquarters at Al-Udeid Air Base, and His Highness honored the top thirteen graduate students.
HH the Amir also kindly sponsored the graduation ceremony of the first batch of students nominated at Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Naval Academy, at the academy’s headquarters in Al Shamal Region, honoring the 8 outstanding students in the batch, in addition to H H the Amir sponsoring of the graduation ceremony of the eighteenth batch of students nominated at Ahmed bin Mohammed Military College.
H H the Amir also inaugurated the strategic communications building and remote sensing building of Qatari Amiri Signal and Information Technology Corps at Al Dehailiyat Army Camp. His Highness listened to a briefing on the various modern facilities and equipment, and was briefed on the latest technological means, information technology, and mechanisms related to the communications system.
This clearly affirms the extreme care and great importance that the State of Qatar and its wise leadership attach to developing the Qatari Armed Forces in all its branches and units, and enhancing their capabilities, by providing the latest military, technical and training devices and equipment, and qualifying its employees from among the brave officers of the country, so that they become responsible in the areas of their military specialization.
Certainly, the graduates of these military institutions represent a real addition to the Qatari Armed Forces, performing the tasks entrusted to them with all professionalism, carrying the banner of the nation’s with pride and glory.
Not all graduates were Qataris, but some of them were from brotherly countries, which confirms the great unlimited confidence in our military institutions and their tasks in terms of qualification, training and military preparation, through its curricula and educational cadres, the modern devices and equipment available to it, and the ideal atmosphere for acquiring knowledge, it motivates and encourages the people of the country to be keen to obtain the honor of belonging to the armed forces in any branch and specialization they choose.
All this military, scientific and logistical support and equipment confirms that all these military colleges and academies are steadily moving towards the future in their respective fields. This is a source of pride for every Qatari citizen, and may the armed forces remain as we have always been, the fortified shield and protector of the country and its precious gains.
Last week represented a national celebration with all that it means. The country rejoiced at the graduation of militaries under the auspices of HH the Amir, and the colleges and academies themselves, and the graduates and their families were all overwhelmed with happiness. This, in turn, embodies the great cohesion between the components of Qatari society, both civil and military.
There is no doubt that each of the colleges and academies has an important and vital role to play in protecting the country and defending it, and in facing challenges and addressing them at all times.
Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Air Academy, which was established in 2009, is the national institution responsible for providing the Qatari Amiri Air Force with highly qualified officers in aviation specialties. For this purpose, the academy has a wing specialized in training in its various forms, and their foundational qualification on combat aircraft, helicopters, and weapon systems operators.
Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Naval Academy, the latest military institution to join the armed forces, gains its importance from its goals in preparing and qualifying students in marine sciences or other supporting marine disciplines, and provide them with the scientific qualifications and the necessary naval skills that qualify them to serve as officers in the naval forces.
As for the Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military college, it is considered one of the best military colleges, and since its inception in November 1996, it has developed academic disciplines that would guarantee its leading role in the nationally recognized project, which has emerged from the vision of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, for the educational renaissance that looks forward to the future, as it is reflected in the planning, construction and continuous development of all colleges in the country.
