Rome: Italian Football club Roma have confirmed that veteran midfielder Daniele de Rossi will leave the club at the end of the season to pursue a new challenge.
The club announced that De Rossi will make his final appearance for the club against Parma on Sunday May 26.
The 35-year-old has made a staggering 615 appearances for the Giallorossi since joining them from his hometown club Ostia Mare way back in 2000, but the time has now come to move on.
De Rossi contributed to secure three trophies for Roma, and won the Italian Cup twice in 2007 - 2008 with the club, and contributed to winning the 2006 World Cup with his national team. (QNA)
