New Delhi: Over 200 people have been fined for drunk driving in Delhi as part of a special drive by the Delhi Police, a statement said Saturday.
“In a special drive Dec 12 against drunk driving in the city, traffic police issued challans (fines) to 239 people for drunk driving and have impounded 193 vehicles,” said a statement from the Delhi Police.
According to police, at least 106 checking teams were stationed at several spots in Delhi to reign in drunk drivers.
