DOHA: Qatar’s first record company, DNA Records, has partnered with The Youth Company to hold the Youth Got Talent competition during Run The World Festival 2014 be held from December 18 to 20 in Katara.
The festival is a an annual initiative, organised by The Youth Company that brings people of different age groups and cultures together to enjoy performances by youth of Qatar and professional athletes and witness cultural performances.
DNA Records is Qatar’s first record label company founded by Dana Al Fardan, a self-established Qatari singer and songwriter who will be one of the judges at this year’s competition.
“We love what The Youth Company is doing in Qatar and love the contest as it’s a great example of offering that platform to young performers.
“We hope this will be the start of a long relationship with The Youth Company and are looking forward to seeing some of the talent at this year’s contest,” said Al Fardan.
Auditions for the competition have been held and the selected youth will perform for visitors during Run The World.
They will compete for professional mentorship with Al Fardan who will also join the youth on the stage during the final competition.
“Our competition is one of the events everyone looks forward to because it provides the youth with the chance to showcase their talents.
“And it’s amazing to watch people gain the confidence to do so,” said Mohamed Farid, Founder and Chairman of The Youth Company International.
