DOHA: Qatar is targeting a 90 percent Qatarisation in the ministries and government entities within the next 10 years.
After studying the creation of job opportunities at government entities, the Ministry of Administrative Development in October 2014 approved the creation of 2,799 jobs for Qataris at 43 government agencies, it said yesterday as it listed out its performance during the year as part of National Day celebrations.
The ministry also looked into opportunities for localisation of jobs and linking education outcomes to the requirements of the labour market through an integrated plan to empower young Qataris.
Over a short period, the ministry made accomplishments that aimed at developing and improving government administrative bodies, it said.
