DOHA: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) together with MasterCard have announced that 20 of their joint customers have won back the value of their international purchases following the close of an exclusive summer offer for ‘Premium Customers’, said a press statement yesterday.
QIB and MasterCard launched their exclusive “Win Your Purchases Back” promotion in July, under which customers stood a chance to win back their international purchases when using their QIB-MasterCard debit cards between July 21 and September 20, 2014.
Affluent and private banking customers purchasing items outside Qatar with a QIB MasterCard Platinum or World Debit Card were eligible to enter into a prize draw to win this spends back (World and Platinum). The more they spent the higher the chances of winning they had.
QIB offers MasterCard Premium debit cards with range of features and benefits, where the cards are accepted at merchants, outlets and ATMs worldwide.
QIB’s cards are specifically designed for the convenience of travellers. The QIB MasterCard Debit Card offers cashless convenience, enabling customers to withdraw cash 24x7 and pay for purchases from their current or savings accounts, within set balance limits. The cards also offer customers the convenience of cashless shopping where they can enjoy a number of discounts at international restaurants and hotels.
Commenting on the campaign, D Anand, General Manager of QIB’s Personal Banking Group, explained that QIB offers exclusive products to the Bank’s premium customers. “Our customers need their cards during the travel season for various travel related expenses, as well as shopping abroad and buying gifts. We provide our customers with the best card products to ensure optimal safety,” said Anand.
