BRASILIA: Brazilian federal prosecutors on Wednesday said they asked the country’s Supreme Court to order house speaker Eduardo Cunha, whom they previously charged with taking bribes in a massive corruption scandal, to step aside.
Cunha opened impeachment proceedings against President Dilma Rousseff, and his removal could increase the odds of her finishing her second term.
