Kabul: At least 44 Taliban militants were killed and wounded in a series of airstrikes conducted in Helmand in southern Afghanistan.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the militants were killed in the past twenty four hours including to Taliban leaders.
A number of militants were also wounded and their hideouts were destroyed during the airstrikes, the Ministry said.
