Doha: Qatar Airways (QA) has announced that it will launch direct flights to Tokyo Haneda International Airport from today.
The addition of its newest destination will double QA’s service to Tokyo to two flights a day.
The route, which will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, will be QA’s third into Japan, joining Osaka and Tokyo Narita International Airport.
Tokyo Haneda International Airport is one of two major airports that serve the Greater Tokyo area, and in 2012 it handled more than 66 million passengers.
With the commencement of flights to Tokyo Haneda, the number of flights to Japan rises from 14 to 21 each week.
“QA is excited to further extend our network in one of our most popular destinations.
