Doha: Hosts Qatar will take on Palestine in the inaguaral match of the 8th West Asian Football Federation (WAFF), the Local Organising Committee (LOC) announced here yesterday.
The opening match will take place on December 25 at Al Sadd Stadium at 5.30pm.
On the same day, Oman and Bahrain will clash in the other Group B match at Al Sadd Stadium in the 8:00pm kick off.
The second day will witness two matches from Group C where Jordan will play Yemen at 5:30pm at Qatar SC Stadium and Kuwait will clash with Lebanon at 8:00pm, also at Qatar Stadium.
The semi-finals will be played on January 4, while the final match will be played on January, 7, it was announced
The 14-day tournament will be contested by 10 teams which have been divided into three groups.
