Washington: US President Joe Biden underlined that two-state solution was the only answer to resolving the conflict between Israel and Palestine, and pledged to build a major package with other countries to help rebuild Gaza Strip.
Speaking at a White House news conference, Biden said that aid to the region would be coordinated with the Palestinian Authority, adding, "I'm praying this ceasefire will hold."
He called for an end to inter-communal fighting by "extremists" on both sides, and said it was imperative to ensure security for Palestinians in the West Bank and help the people of Gaza.
Israel and Hamas movement have reached a ceasefire agreement after an 11-day brutal Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip that resulted in the death of 248 Palestinians and 1900 wounder, following a mediation carried out by Egypt, Qatar and Jordan.
