Qatar Rail announces temporary suspension of Lusail Tram services

Doha, Qatar: Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) announced the suspension of Lusail Tram services from Friday, June 26, 2026, until Sunday, July 5, to facilitate significant improvement works across the network.

The temporary suspension of tram services is being implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Transport, as part of Qatar Rail’s ongoing efforts to enhance passenger services and improve the performance of the tram network.

During the service suspension period, replacement bus services will operate between Legtaifiya station to Tarfat - South station to maintain service continuity for passengers. Additionally, the existing metroexpress, and metrolink services including a newly launched metrolink route M154, will operate to cover the area.

Following this work, service in at-grade sections of Tram Lusail will remain suspended, as Qatar Rail carries out comprehensive upgrades to enhance efficiency and improve customers’ journey. metroexpress, and metrolink will continue to operate covering this area, ensuring smooth connectivity across the network.

Qatar Rail advised customers to refer to the guidance maps displayed at stations to learn about replacement bus routes, the nearest bus stop’s locations, and frequency of services, in addition to following the Metro and Tram social media channels and contacting its call centre (105) for the latest service updates.
