Ankara: Turkiye on Monday announced the discovery of a 3,500-year-old archaeological tablet during excavation and restoration work at "Tell Atchana," known as "Alalakh," in the Reyhanli region of Hatay province, south of the country.

The tablet, which was found during restoration operations after the two earthquakes in February 2023 within the scope of excavations in Tell Atchana, sheds light on the era in which Akkadian cuneiform writing existed.
