DOHA: The Ministry of Labour (MoL) participated in the Career Fair organised by the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, through its Qualifying and Skills Development Department and the National Manpower Recruitment Department.

The initiative aimed to connect students and graduates with available employment opportunities in the labour market and to support Qatari job seekers and children of Qatari women in identifying career pathways aligned with their interests and capabilities.

This participation forms part of the ongoing cooperation between the Ministry and the Institute, reflecting joint efforts to strengthen youth employability and to supply the labour market with qualified, motivated national talent.

The collaboration also underscores a shared commitment to social responsibility and sustainable workforce development.

The ministry’s involvement aligns with its broader mandate to link students and graduates with academic specialisations that are in demand in the labour market, in line with Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030.

The strategy focuses on building a competent, motivated and competitive national workforce, particularly within the private sector. During the fair, the Ministry also introduced its employment-related initiatives and human capital development program, enabling direct engagement with students and graduates.

MoL encouraged students and graduates to actively participate in career fairs, highlighting their value in providing exposure to available academic disciplines and career tracks, as well as opportunities for direct interaction with private sector representatives.

The ministry emphasised that such events empower participants to make informed career decisions, enhance their understanding of labour market requirements, build professional networks, and explore training and development opportunities, all of which contribute to improved job readiness.

Officials from the Qualifying and Skills Development Department delivered comprehensive briefings to students during the fair, outlining promising university specialisations and presenting initiatives.
