Doha: An anchor of Qatar TV, Saif Al Emadi, said that the national channel emerged as a major media platform for developing anchors.
He said that the channel provides intensive training especially to newcomers from citizens to pickup leading position in TV journalism.
For example, Al Emadi said: “I began my job with Qatar TV as a news anchor where I received great experience in Arabic language, latest news about local and international issues, writing news articles and editing them.”
Al Emadi said that during his three years of service he obtained a lot of experiences that helped him improve his performance in different aspects.
“One of the major coverages of Qatar TV in which I participated was elections of Shura Council. I hosted a number of guests at talk show programmes during the election where I learned how to deal with guests, conduct interviews and ask questions,” said Al Emadi.
He said that during the fieldwork he learned many things including preparing a report. Speaking about the achievement of Qatar TV, he said that the national channel made many achievements during its 52 years long journey.
“The intensive converge of Shura Council elections that run for 43 days was one of the major achievements of the channel that was made recent past apart from those many more in the past.”
Naming many famous anchors of Qatar TV, he said that the channel served as a platform for preparing Qatari cadres to pick leading positions in broadcast journalism.
