Doha: FNAC, international retailer of cultural, leisure and technological products, yesterday hosted the signing of Qatari singer Ali Abdul Sattar’s new Album Ali Abdul Sattar Les Voyages 2 at Lagoona Mall, in the presence of guests, media and invitees.
Sattar chose FNAC as the venue to promote the album due to FNAC’s position as the leading promoter of cultural activities and the artistic hub that values creativity and arts.
The ceremony offered Qatari fans opportunity to connect with Sattar and get a personalised autograph on the album.
The album features 10 songs in a fresh and modern way. Regarded as one of the most prominent and famous artists in Qatar and Middle East, Sattar started his career in early youth and has a rich record of traditional and popular songs deep rooted in the minds of local and regional communities.
He said: “I am honoured to present my latest album at FNAC. It is an ideal opportunity for me to reconnect with my fans and admirers, and I hope the new album meets their expectations. I feel privileged to be the first artist selected to showcase my new work at FNAC. I would like to thank the team at FNAC and Darwish Holding for honouring me and my music, and congratulate them for further strengthening our nation’s cultural fabric by introducing such innovative platforms.” The Peninsula
