Dubai: The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) participated in the 57th meeting of the Technical Committee for Retirement and Social Insurance Agencies in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was hosted by Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, during the period from January 22 to 24, 2024.
The two-day meeting’s sessions included several items, such as governance of the work of the technical committee, updating the unified system for extending insurance protection, statistical indicators for implementing the unified system for extending insurance protection, targeting workers who are not registered in the unified system according to direct coordination, and the benefits provided to retirees.
The meeting also included periodic seminars and initiatives, namely updating a comparative study of civil retirement and social insurance systems, electronic linking between civil retirement and social insurance systems, and a unified annual awareness campaign, in addition to training and qualification, the award of civil retirement and social insurance funds for scientific research, and honoring pioneering figures in the field of civil retirement and social insurance.
