Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber (QC) and ICC Qatar and executive board member of ICC, has received the International Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural ICC Merchant of Peace Award.
The award was given during ICC Executive Board Dinner ceremony on March 21 in attendance of QC Director General Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Remy Rowhani Secretary General of ICC Qatar.The event was also attended by Sunil Mittal, Chairman of ICC, John Danilovich Secretary General of the ICC and members of the ICC executive board as well as members of the global ICC national committees.
The award is given to Sheikh Khalifa for all his hard work and efforts with the ICC over the years, especially regarding the World Trade Agenda initiative which is a joint initiative by ICC and Qatar Chamber which advocates for trade facilitation worldwide. The award was given by ICC chairman Sunil Mittal who praised Sheikh Khalifa's efforts exerted over the years especially in the World Trade Agenda which is a joint initiative between ICC and Qatar Chamber.
