Cacdac said that about 3pm last October 24, anti-narcotics agents simultaneously implemented two search warrants on the houses of Bautista and the Borbe couple.
PDEA agents confiscated a total of 12 plastic sachets of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia from the suspects, Cacdac noted.
$121K reward for car thief’s head: Duterte
MANILA: The vice mayor of a southern Philippine city has offered a $121,000 reward for the decapitated head of the alleged leader of a gang of car thieves.
Davao City Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, known for being tough on criminals, told a news conference in Davao on Wednesday that he would give P2m ($48,400) if suspect Ryan Yu is arrested and P4m ($96,800) if he’s killed. He said he’d add another P1m ($24,200) if Yu’s decapitated head is delivered to him “in ice.”
Davao police chief Ronald de la Rosa said yesterday that many interested parties had sent text messages wanting assurance they would receive the reward.
Human rights commission chairman Loretta Rosales said Duterte violated the law for making a judgment without due process. Malacañang yesterday appealed to Davao City Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to let due process takes it course in the case of a wanted carjacker in the city.
“We, in this country, believe in due process. [President Benigno Aquino III] has already mentioned this that we have to accord every person the right of his day in court. We have to go through the legal processes of filing a case and prosecuting that person,” Lacierda said.
