The assessment of human rights monitoring body stated last Friday that more than 90,000 people, about 4% of the population in Gaza, are dead, wounded or missing. The toll of victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing for more than a year, has risen to 42,878 martyrs and 100,544 injuries, most of whom are women and children.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said Israel’s continuous air, land and sea attacks have destroyed about 70% of the Gaza Strip’s civilian infrastructure since October 7. The Israeli occupation forces are committing everyday three to four massacres killing average of 60 to 70 Palestinians and injuring tens of civilians with ultimate Israeli aim of making Gaza Strip uninhabitable by uprooting the vast majority of the population in violation of international law.
The rights body has stressed that Israel is pushing hundreds of thousands of civilians towards mass forced displacement, where hundreds are being killed and hundreds of bodies are left on roads or under the rubbles. People are deprived from basic needs of food, water, medicine and shelter since the Israeli Occupation Forces started its genocidal war on Gaza and continuing because of the international community indifference.
Yes, this is happening because the world is stripped of its humanity, and the daily massacres in Gaza become routine scenes, and international organizations lose their sense of responsibility and the true nature and role of the so-called international humanitarian law is revealed, then talking about peace and ceasefires becomes futile and no longer feasible.
The Palestinian people have been subjected to genocide for more than a year, while the world remains either in deafening silence or blatant hypocrisy and lies. Everyone knows that uttering a single word by the states sponsoring Zionist extremism to stop the war of extermination in Gaza was enough to end these unprecedented massacres and brutalities, while the West protects the entity and justifies its aggression.
How can we believe the diplomatic shuttle tours in the region while the humming of warplanes keeps people awake in Beirut, bombs wipe out large residential areas every night and demand the population to leave their land and homes. People are being punished and exterminated; cities are destroyed, simply for saying no to Zionist tyranny and religious extremism that no longer respects humanity, international law, or sacred religious sites, and no longer holds even the slightest shred of morality or humanity.
This is the reality brought about by the global system that has turned all laws, norms, and international conventions into meaningless or instruments of coercion, where the strong is always right, and the weak and oppressed are deemed criminals because they do not submit to this jungle law.
