Doha: Acting Charge d’ Affaires of the Embassy of Ecuador in Doha Daniel Rivadeneira has expressed his great admiration for what the State of Qatar achieved during the recent period.
He said that Qatar has made great strides to become a central power in the Middle East, played an important role in the region and succeeded to reinforce its position as a trustworthy partner through its support for peace, stability and security efforts in the region, pursuing in that the diplomacy, dialogue and human solidarity.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency on the occasion of Qatar National Day, Rivadeneira said that the leadership in Doha has earned respect and confidence of governments inside and outside the Middle East, in addition to its active foreign policy, commitment to development and its dedicated efforts in combating terrorism and humanitarian aid through international crises and conflicts.
He noted the great progress achieved by the State of Qatar, especially during the unlawful blockade, as it was capable of strengthening and enhancing its economy by achieving self-sufficiency through expanding the economic and investment cooperation with all over the world, thanks to the wise leadership and guidance of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Rivadeneira expressed his happiness that there is a glimmer of hope for an improvement soon for this crisis that has prolonged between brothers in the Gulf.
He affirmed the Ecuadorian government’s support for the State of Qatar and people in order to achieve further progress and prosperity.
He referred to the solid relations between Ecuador and Qatar, as both countries are always working closely to diversify fields of cooperation to include various fields such as investment, education, culture and trade, which have been consolidated through reciprocating official visits between the two countries in the last two years.
Rivadeneira highly valued the great efforts made by the various state systems and the effective precautionary and preventive measures they took to curb the repercussions of COVID-19 that helped manage the crisis successfully, especially strong medical system that has verified its worthiness pas excellence in facing the epidemic.
He congratulated Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Father H H Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the government and the people of State of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day which commemorated on December 18, on which the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani took the rule of the State; whose his reign was marked by security, justice and prosperity and was able to put his people on the path of urbanisation, where the Qataris have followed it to achieve what they have reached now. Therefore, they must be proud of their identity, their history, and their achievements.
