Eid with a mix of happiness and sadness

During these blessed days, in which Muslims celebrated Eid Al Fitr, some Arabs and Muslims countries suffered many problems and tough challenges that threatened the stability of their countries.
Some events take place every day in Arab and Islamic communities, including individual events and important Arab and international cases.
They cause a mix of happiness and sadness to us, to the most of us, in Eid or during other holidays and on occasions, and this is what we experienced this Eid.
Allah grants us Eid as a reward for our fast  and worship during Ramadan, so we are supposed to be happy with it.
We are supposed to be happy and excited in Eid, greet each other and end any kind of dispute and misunderstanding at different levels.
However, we felt so much sadness because of what happened around us and affected our brothers in sisterly countries negatively and inflicted pain and sorrow on them.
These events include crossfire between Israel and Gaza that led to the killing and displacement of thousands of Palestinians. Similarly, people in Libya, Syrian and Iraq are experiencing terrible situations.
All these events were enough reasons to make us feel sad during Eid, as in these blessed days eyes shed tears and hearts rent over our brothers and martyrs in Arab and Muslim countries.
Amid these events, our beloved Qatar stands in pride as it calls for ceasefire and plays its vital role at regional, Arab and international levels to stop the bloodshed and protect our Palestinian brothers.
We ask Allah to help our beloved country Qatar achieve its ambitions and protect our wise leadership represented in the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Interior Minister
H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, our ministers and officials who are dedicated to the service of Arab and Islamic communities every time, at every place.
I say to our leadership, officials, Qatari citizens and all Arab and Muslim citizens “Eid Mubarak” and may Allah bestow his blessings and mercy on us and the Islamic nation.
In Eid Al Fitr, we do our best to smile so that we feel happiness and delight; however, there is pain and sadness that lie in our hearts because of the ongoing events in some Arab and Islamic countries.
We may not be able to do anything for these countries and their peoples as citizens and individuals but we pray and ask Allah to help Qatar in efforts it is exerting to support these countries and its quest and steps towards achieving safety, security and peace in the Middle East.
We pray to Allah to help Qatar keep its upper hand in addressing Arab, regional and international issues to preserve peace and security and maintain Arab, international and Islamic bonds.
In these blessed days I feel sad for spending it without my brother Nasser bin Gamaan Al Saady, who passed away, may Allah have mercy on his soul along with the soul of my father and the souls of all the dead Muslims.
I also ask Allah to extend the lives of my brothers, their sons, my sons and my grandsons, and may their deeds be good.
