Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) Chinaman bowler Brad Hogg was reprimanded by the match referee for inappropriate language, an Indian Premier League (IPL) release said on Monday.

“Brad Hogg of Kolkata Knight Riders was reprimanded by the Match Referee for using inappropriate language, actions or gestures which disparage or provoke an aggressive reaction during a match,” said the release.

“Hogg admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) and accepted the sanction,” the release added.

For Level 1 breaches of IPL's code of conduct, the match referee's decision is final and binding.
