Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) has issued requirement needed to obtain a Private Pilot License for Aeroplanes, PPL (A).
The Authority in a social media post stated that the PPL (A) - an aviation license - grants individuals the privilege to fly an aeroplane as a pilot-in-command or co-pilot for personal and non-commercial purposes.
To get a PPL (A) in Qatar, applicants must complete the required training course at an approved training organization accredited by the QCAA, within or outside Qatar.
It further clarifies that applicants must be at least 17 years old, hold at least a current Class 2 medical certificate, must have passed the English language proficiency rating test (obtain at least Level 4).
The invidual must also pass the PPL (A) theoretical knowledge examinations, fulfil the experience requirements for the PPL and pass a skill test for the class or type rating.
