Doha, Qatar: The Katara Cultural Village Foundation has announced the organisation of its 15th Holy Quran Memorisation Competition for the holy month of Ramadan 2026.

The competition will be held from February 22 to March 5, 2026, at the Katara Mosque, immediately after the Asr prayer. This initiative is part of Katara’s ongoing efforts to support religious and cultural activities and instill Islamic values in young people.

The competition is open to those born in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Registration was open from February 8 to 12, 2026, through the official Katara Cultural Village Foundation website (www.katara.net).

The competition is open to participants born in 2012, 2013, and 2014. It is worth noting that Katara has been organising such Quranic competitions annually during the holy month of Ramadan, stemming from its mission to serve the community and promote Islamic identity. These initiatives aim to encourage children to memorise the Holy Quran, develop their recitation and intonation skills, and instill faith-based and moral values within them, in addition to providing a competitive educational environment that contributes to discovering and refining Quranic talents.

This competition also underscores Katara’s commitment to solidifying the status of the Holy Quran in the lives of young people and strengthening their connection to it, thus contributing to the preparation of a conscious generation firmly rooted in its religion and values.

Furthermore, the Katara Cultural Village Foundation is nearing the conclusion of the first edition of its Al-Qaida Al-Nooraniyah course (for women only), which it is holding from January 26 to February 17. This course is part of its programmes aimed at promoting the Holy Quran and its sciences, and establishing the foundations of correct recitation according to approved scientific methods.
