Qafco staff mark Pakistan Independence Day

Pakistani nationals at Qafco cut a cake to mark the 67th Pakistan Independence Day, in Al Banush club, Mesaieed.

Doha: Pakistani nationals working at Qatar fertiliser company (Qafco) in Mesaieed, recently held a function to bid farewell to one of their colleagues — Iftikhar ul Haq —and celebrate the 67th Pakistan Independence Day in Al Banush club, in Mesaieed.

Farid Rashid Khan was the chief guest of the function.

Mukhtar Ahmad, Rana Ayoub, Zahid Sharif, Rao Mahmood and Sabir Hussain Sabir, recalled the memorable moments they shared with Haq during his stay in Qatar. The speakers appreciated his devotion and sincerity.

Haq praised his colleagues and the Qafco management for the support he received during his stay. He particularly thanked the Pakistani community in Qafco and noted that he was leaving with fond memories.

A cake cutting ceremony was also held to celebrate Pakistan Independence Day, Iqbal Akhtar and Furqan Paracha recited the national songs. The Peninsula
