Doha: Google is celebrating today 22/2/22 that falls on a Tuesday with a surprise for those searching the date in its search bar.
On entering the date in Google's search bar, confetti and a bunch of twos appear on the screen with a message that reads "Happy Twosday 2You!"
Today's date is special also because it is both a palindrome, a sequence of characters that read the same backward and forward, and an ambigram, which means it reads the same upside down.
This week is filled with palindrome dates, when the date is written in m-dd-yy format, which started on Sunday 2/20/22 and ends on 2/28/22.
Meanwhile the countries that follow the dd-mm-yy format will have eight more palindromes all falling on the 22nd of each month from March to September and November.
