Doha: As part of annual student welcoming events, Qatar University will hold student orientation from September 1 to 10 on QU policies, programmes, services and campus resources.
The event will welcome the new batch of students into the QU community and incoming international students, and familiarise them with challenging and exciting opportunities QU offers. Attendance is mandatory for all new students and it is imperative that each student attends two days of orientation.
Nouf Al Kuwari, Director, Department of Admissions, said: “Students will have opportunity to gain information to ease their transition into the new academic environment.
“They will be oriented on academic and non-academic policies, services and facilities, and assisted on course selection according to their study plans.
“They will also interact with peers and meet academic advisers and college deans.”
A parents’ orientation will be held on September 12 to engage them in their children’s campus experience.
